GazCats Questionnaire


Because Savannah cats can live up to 20 years, it is important that we match the right kitten to the right owner.  These questions help us better understand your needs.  Please feel free to interview us as well.

We go to great lengths to ensure life-long matches between kittens and adoptive parents.  If you are seriously interested in one of our kittens, please copy and paste the following questionnaire (answered) into an email, and send it to info@GazCats.com

1. Are you looking for a pet, breeder or show cat?

2. Do you have a preference for gender?

3. Do you have a preference for color? (Gold, Brown, Smoke, Silver, Melanistic [Black])

4. Describe the type of cat or kitten for which you are looking (e.g., looks, temperament, etc.).

5. Have you done research on the Savannah breed?

6. Why do you want a Savannah?

7. Have you ever met a Savannah before, if so, where?

8. Have you ever owned a cat?

9. Do you currently have pets? If yes, how many, what kind and what ages?

10. How have any current pets reacted in the past to new animals in your home?

11. Have you ever had to find a new home for an animal that belongd to you?  If so, what were the circumstances?

12. Have you ever taken an animal to a Humane Society (or another) shelter? If yes, explain why?

13. Have you ever returned a pet to a breeder? If yes, explain why.

14. Is anyone in your house allergic to cats?

15. Do you have children? How old are they? Have they ever been around kittens/cats before?

16. Do you plan on spaying/neutering or declawing your cat/kitten?

17. How many hours will the cat/kitten be alone during the day?

18. Do you intend to let your cat/kitten be outside?

19. What is the name of your veterinarian?

20. Do you want an early generation (F1-F2 foundational) Savannah or a later generation ( F5-F6 C/SBT) Savannah (see About Savannah Cats for a detailed explanation)?
